HISTORY


Telsas A.S. is founded by Orhan Ramazanogullari, as a family establishment in 1979 in Alibeykoy, Istanbul.

Ramazanogullari family is an old and well known family in metal manufacturing sector since 1919.

First, Mustafa Ramazanogullari learned the treatment of copper in ammunition atelier during World War I, in Dardanelles. His own atelier was then found in Maras after the war with the experience and knowledge acquired during Dardanelles war. His sons also joined the business few years later.

After having gained enough experience, his 2nd. oldest son, Ahmet Ramazanogullari wanted to expand the business by himself. He opened a copper manufacturing factory in 1939 in Kayseri, and second factory in Istanbul in 1946.

Ahmet Ramazanogullari is also one of the founders of Istanbul Chamber of Industry and served the Chamber as a Member of Executive Board for long term. In 1954 in addition to copper factory, he established his second factory in Istanbul, this time a hot rolling mill.

As a member the 3rd. generation of the family, Orhan Ramazanogullari joined Ramas in 1965 after finishing graduate school. He worked with his father few years and decided to jump to another branch. He first started his wire drawing business in a small building in 1973 with Astel name, and moved to today's factory in Alibeykoy in 1979, and changed the company name to Telsas.

When first founded, Astel used to produce only non-coated wires. Today Telsas produces comprehensive range of wire products including hard, semi-hard, annealed, copper coated and galvanized wires.

The family´s 4th generation, Ahmet & Emre Ramazanogullari have also joined Telsas in recent years.

With its deep past experience and performance, consolidated with both family´s new generation and also high tech of today, Telsaş is continuoing its growth in domestic and international markets.
